As is the way with the web these days, 'wallpaper' pics of the new Mazda6 have been published ahead of the car's official launch at the Frankfurt motor show (IAA) next week.
A Spanish language website has loaded up pics of the entire range, with different body styles all featured -- 3/4 front and rear shots, plus detailed interior shots.
The pics have travelled around the globe at the speed of light and are now appearing on enthusiast sites everywhere.
According to the site, www.km77.com, dual-zone climate control, 'keyless' start with a button, heated seats, voice-recognition software, a Bose in-dash six-stack CD audio system and xenon headlights will be available -- and we already know that a V6 engine is in the works.
From the pics, the Spaniards mentioned that the car will not be fitted with an electronic parking brake, pointing out the conventional handbrake lever fitted. They also pointed out that the handbrake is located nearer the passenger seat, so conversion from LHD to RHD is a problem in reverse too, it seems.
Note also the grab handle on the passenger's side door, not replicated on the driver's side.
The new Mazda, marketed as the Atenza in the Japanese domestic market, is based on the existing Mazda6 platform.
