The possibility of extraterrestrial life has sparked plenty of debate online after revelations the US government has been hiding ‘non-human’ (read: alien) activity for decades. It’s a tale as old as time, and whether you believe in them or not, it’s pretty cool to imagine life beyond what we know, and what it might look like.
Are aliens slimy? Do they have teeth? Or fangs!? What do they eat? Do they get ear wax?
So many questions, and although we can’t answer all of them, we can answer the most important ones, like, what an alien should drive if they landed in Australia, because, unfortunately, they’ll probably have to park the UFO at the airport.
When you land Down Under, you probably won’t have much money, so an affordable car will be just what you’re after and the new GWM Ora (from $39,990) is a good option. It’s an EV – no, not an ‘extraterrestrial vehicle’, but an electric vehicle. That means you’re looking after planet Earth while you’re here, so thanks for that.
Did you hatch from a line of aliens with huge heads? Never fear, because down here on Earth, we have a thing called a convertible! The wretched days of trying to cram your giant noggin into a concealed metal box are over because you can drop the soft-top roof and leave your extraterrestrial worries behind. The MX-5 is a super fun little machine, even offered with a manual transmission.
Nothing quite says “get me off this planet ASAP” like a Ferrari SF90 Stradale and this is for the aliens wanting to rocket back to Mars (or at least the airport) in a jiffy. Honestly, we don’t blame you because this planet has seen better days, but while you’re here, at least you can enjoy this plug-in hybrid twin-turbo V8-powered supercar, good for an out-of-this-world (pun intended) 2.5-second sprint to triple digits.
We can’t forget about the vertically-challenged aliens. You know the ones always needing a booster seat for the spaceship… we’re looking at you, E.T. The cute Kia Picanto is one of the smallest (and most affordable) cars on the market, and even though it comes with a cabin big enough for tall people, we think its micro-car dimensions make it a good fit for small aliens.
If you brought your entire alien family down with you, you’ll probably need a big family-sized SUV, and the Hyundai Palisade seven- or eight-seater is our pick of the bunch. It’s stylish, well-equipped, and in top-spec Highlander, probably has more technology than your spaceship… can your UFO remote-park itself!? Didn’t think so.
