Land Rover has launched an Ultimate Edition version of its Range Rover SVAutobiography that introduces a host of hand-finished bespoke finishes.
Created to narrow the gap even further between the full-size Range Rover and the Bentley Bentayga or Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the latest Ultimate Edition is based on either the SVAutobiography and the more driver-focused SVAutobiography Dynamic models.
Showcasing the range of personalisation options on offer from JLR's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), the 2021 Range Rover SVAutobiography revealed is painted in a new satin-finish Orchard Green paint that's combined with a Navarik Black roof and subtle copper detailing.
Gloss black copper-edged Range Rover badging complete the exterior changes.
The copper theme continues inside with SV roundels on the B-pillars, embroidered SV logos on all four head restraints and illuminated 'Ultimate Edition' treadplates in the same metallic hue.
Another 'SV Bespoke Ultimate Edition' plaque adorns the centre console that also features a copper finish, just to remind you again that your Range Rover is a cut above the luxurious but all-too-common SVAutobiography it's based on.
Inside, the most comfortable long-wheelbase version features power-close rear doors and airline business class-style reclining rear seats that are heated and cooled and bag a hot stone massage function.
In total, Land Rover claims a limo-like 1.2m of rear legroom.
Other special SV changes include a full-length centre console, a fridge and fold-out tables to enable passengers to work on the move.
Under the bonnet there's the choice of either the 415kW supercharged 5.0-litre V8 or the 297kW 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder plug-in hybrid that offers a pure-electric range of up to 40km.
For owners who prefers to drive rather than be chauffeured, Land Rover will offer its flagship SUV with the SVAutobiography Dynamic's suspension in standard wheelbase, which boasts a chassis tune honed for more enthusiastic driving with a ride height 8mm lower.
An active anti-roll system also keeps the big Range Rover flatter through corners.
Further upgrades include massive 22-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and more finishes for the interior that include an anodised red option for the gear shift paddles.
SVO also invites its wealthy customers to start from scratch and create their very own Ultimate edition, but at a price.
Speaking of costs, in the UK prices begin at £147,441 ($A267,000) for the short-wheelbase SVAutobiograpy that stretches to £183,706 ($A333,000) for the most expensive SVAutobiography long-wheelbase version.
