Ford Focus Ultimate Test Drive: An embarrassment of riches in the entry box

David Tunnicliffe, the self-confessed Imelda Marcos of the sneaker world, tops this week's entry list with his extrodinary self-revelatory video

David Tunnicliffe's simple, self-revelatory video entry opens the (wardrobe) door on his addiction to what he describes as another form of transport: sneakers.

An enormous rack of them – every brand, every design, every motif and every hue across the spectrum. In the manner of most addicts, he's asked us to keep mum about his little secret. We balk at calling it a dirty little secret – the footwear looked pretty clean to us.

There's clearly some shame, there, however, David, and we refuse to collude with your disease. Consider this our intervention.

The written entries continue flowing in. Nick Soloway brazenly ingratiates himself to Ford with a few simple, snappy lines of promo for the new Focus, while Jackson Bannah gives us a nostalgic if ambivalent look into his grandad's perfectionism in the shed arts.

Keep those entries pouring in, folks. It's not hard to get in the running for the Ford Focus Ultimate Test Drive. Start by simply sending in a review of something you love via the Ultimate Test Drive website. Poetry, prose, pictures, video – we're inviting you to let your imagination run riot on anything you like. Besides sneakers and grandad's genius, among the entries so far we've seen subjects as out there as last night's dinner.

As long as no living thing – well, nothing with a central nervous system, anyway – suffers by your efforts, we're happy.

That's right – break whatever new ground necessary to get into Ford's groundbreaking new Focus. Competition's already stiff, making life tough for our panel of judges. But Ford's making it worth a bit of effort. Raise our judges' eyebrows enough and you could find yourself on the shortlist to spend six weeks in a Focus Titanium, the top-shelf model with a muscular turbodiesel engine and Ford's state-of-the-art PowerShift dual clutch transmission.

Over your time with the car, you'll be asked to put it to a new test each week and report back through the Ultimate Test Drive website. Carsales Network visitors vote up their favourite blog and if yours tops the poll, a new Ford Focus Titanium is yours.

Hurry, though – entries close at noon on June 17.
