Ford Australia is offering ‘convenience and peace of mind’ to customers requiring a vehicle service amid the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic by providing a complimentary pick-up and drop off service.
Available at participating dealers as of today (April 3) until at least June 30 (unless extended), the initiative allows customers to stay home while their Ford is picked up, taken for a service or warranty repair and then returned.
Vehicle touchpoints will also be disinfected with an alcohol-based cleaner – things like door-handles (inside and out), steering wheel and buttons, centre console, hand brake, gear shifter or dial, touch-screen, window/seat/mirror controls, start-stop button, fuel door, bonnet and latch etc.
Ford says the measures are designed to protect both its staff and consumers, as well as customers’ vehicle paint and interior trims.
Cashless payment methods such as mobile payments will be accepted.
Ford Australia’s chief executive, Kay Hart, says the company is pleased to be working with dealers to find ways to ensure customers can continue to enjoy uninterrupted and safe services during this time.
“The Ford Pick Up and Drop Off Service provides our service customers the reassurance they can get necessary vehicle work completed without leaving home, and the peace of mind that their vehicle is disinfected afterwards,” she said.
