Ford Australia has addressed criticism of its Ranger ute by unveiling a series of minor mid-life updates for the popular pick-up.
Responding to “direct customer feedback”, Ford says it has made revisions to the Ranger PX II range without affecting current pricing. In addition, the Blue Oval will offer a new leather option on all 4x2 and 4x4 XLT double cab variants, priced from $1650.
Headlining the changes, Ford says it has made two new upgrades to the seats of the Ranger Wildtrak variant, which sees “front and rear seat design and quality improved to better resist staining and soiling.
“The seats will also have less piping and a shorter front cushion overhang to improve comfort,” Ford says.
All Ranger models will now have secure ‘fingers’ added to cup holders to better secure bottles and cups.
The utility’s external temperature display (outside temperature thermometer) will now feature a frost/ice warning that was already available on the XLT and WildTrak variants.
Ford has also moved to streamline the appearance of the XLS entry-level double cab variant by removing unsightly exterior tie-down hooks on the outside of the tray.
Pricing for the Ranger line-up remains unchanged.
