Famous German Mercedes-Benz tuner, Brabus, has announced that it will launch a more powerful version of the Mercedes-AMG C63 S at the Geneva motor show.
Called the Brabus 650, the C-Class-based super sedan (or wagon) generates 478kW/820Nm from its twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8.
This is enough to launch the sedan to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 320km/h.
To generate 103kW more than the already powerful C63 S AMG, Brabus engineers gave the C-Class larger turbos and a new ECU that alters both the injection and ignition.
There’s also a large stainless-steel Brabus sports exhaust that features a ‘quiet mode’ to not frighten your neighbours.
Remarkably, the seven-speed automatic gearbox remains standard, but Brabus supplies each 650 with improved aluminium paddles behind the wheel that are said to be better to use in manual mode than the standard items.
Externally, to help deal with the increased performance there’s a front splitter, rear spoiler and diffuser.
The 650 also comes with height-adjustable Bilstein coilover suspension and large 20-inch alloys.
Inside, there’s special alcantara trim that wraps the seat, dash and door cards with plenty more personalisation available.
It’s not known how much the Brabus 650 will cost over a standard Mercedes-AMG C63 S.
More information is expected following its reveal on Monday March 1.
