Kia has revealed its third-generation Picanto ahead of its official launch at the Geneva motor show this March.
Releasing pics of the range-topping Picanto GT Line, the latest instalment of the little city car is said to have been designed by both the firm's Namyang, Korean and Frankfurt, Germany's design studios.
It will go on sale in Australia in the second quarter of 2017.
Despite measuring in at the same 3595mm as the old Picanto, the new model is claimed to be far bolder. Kia says the new model has a more "assertive stance" thanks to a wheelbase that has been stretched by 15mm (2385mm-2400mm).
Inside, it's clear the old car's interior has been thoroughly overhauled with a new "floating" touchscreen infotainment introduced that's said to come with all the "latest in-car technology".
Kia says the third-gen Picanto will also offer far greater levels of personalisation with buyers able to choose from 11 exterior colours and a wide range of hues for the interior trim and upholstery.
Under the bonnet the current Picanto's 63kW/120Nm 1.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine is expected to carry over into the new model.
Top of the Picanto tree will be a 77kW/172Nm 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder that will also be offered with a more powerful 88kW that can be combined with the firm's recently introduced seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
More technical details of the new Picanto is expected following its Geneva debut in March.
