Mercedes-Benz is Australia’s most engaged automotive brand according to a survey released today.
The survey, by Social Pulse, measured the Top 10 Automotive Facebook pages by engagement and fans, and also examined posting frequency and other metrics.
Mercedes-Benz Australia’s Facebook page was the top rated in terms of engagement while Holden topped the table in terms of total fans. Another German prestige brand, Audi, was number two in engagement ahead of Holden Motorsport and BMW.
In outright numbers of fans, Hyundai Australia was second (to Holden as noted above), then, surprisingly, came Kia and Suzuki.
Toyota Australia was fifth but also runs a separated page, Toyota 4x4. Combined, the two main Toyota pages would rank in second spot.
The report is a subset of the Australian Facebook Performance Report. The engagement stats are based on the percentage of active fans versus total fans. The report is based on statistics measured in October and the first two weeks of November 2013.
The Top Posts by Likes list was headed by the Mercedes-Benz Facebook page with a post featuring CLS 63 AMG. BMW topped the Posts by Comments score and Holden the Posts by Shares ranking.
