Local pricing for the new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe kicks off from $77,100. That princely sum will buy you the GLC 220 d complete with standard AMG Line Exterior styling and key chassis add-ons such as Dynamic Body Control – a must on the high-riding fastback.
The GLC Coupe range was launched in Europe in recent weeks. The range arrives Down Under in the last quarter of this year to take on the likes of BMW’s X4 and the sportier variants of Audi’s Q5 range as well as Jaguar’s F-PACE.
At this stage, Mercedes-Benz Australia has only announced pricing for the four-cylinder variants in the range. Pricing for the twin-turbo GLC 43 AMG Coupe will be announced closer to that car’s Q4 release date. Other GLC Coupe models including the fire-breathing GLC 63 AMG are not expected Down Under until well into 2017.
In addition to the 220 d turbo-diesel, noted above, the 250 d turbo-diesel and 250 turbo-petrol versions will be priced at $82,100 and $80,100 respectively.
Standard equipment in the entry-level GLC Coupe includes 20-inch AMG alloy wheels, diamond grille, AMG Line Interior pack, powered tailgate and Garmin Map Pilot satnav. A 360-degree camera and LED headlights are also included.
The 250/250 d twins add leather upholstery, Keyless-Go and a Driver Assistance Package with adaptive cruise and other features.
