Holden is determined to lure its new-car customers back to the dealership to have their Holden serviced there.
The company's guarantee it will beat by 10 per cent any quote from a service provider outside the Holden dealer network is enshrined in a new program named HoldenWise Service Price Guarantee.
In a press release issued yesterday, the car company announced that the new deal for Holden owners would apply across "all major car lines", on the proviso the quote is "like for like". By major car lines, the company specifically mentions Commodore, Cruze, Captiva, Barina and Colorado.
"Holden has one of the largest dealer networks in the country and we are confident that our Holden Service Centres will deliver a competitive standard of service and value to our customers," said Holden Director of Customer Service and Retention, Narelle Stack, as quoted in the press release.
"The program has the potential to offer great savings and will ensure the long term reliability and safety of our vehicles as they are serviced to the highest possible standard using Holden approved parts and factory trained technicians."
"The HoldenWise Service Price Guarantee is a part of a suite of initiatives we’re developing to ensure our customers have a positive and rewarding experience with Holden throughout the purchase lifecycle, which will ensure they come back again and again."
Some conditions apply, and the guarantee is only offered for the first six standard scheduled services. Holden insists that the vehicle itself must be within either 3000km or 90 days of the specified service and the rival service provide must be located within a 10km radius of the suburb. Owners of vehicles eligible for Capped Price Servicing can take advantage of the Service Price Guarantee, but only for the final two of the six scheduled services.
