Holden has released full price and specification details for its locally-manufactured large-car range – which is in its final year of production in 2017.
As we revealed late last month, the Evoke sedan remains priced as it was, but SV6, Calais and SS sedan variants have all risen in price, in varying amounts.
That is true of the Ute models and the Caprice too, as was revealed today.
Remaining priced at $33,490, the base Ute is renamed Evoke, aligning with the sedan and Sportwagon models.
The manual SV6 Ute has been dropped from the range – the six-speed manual is only available with V8-engined models for the final year of production – and the automatic SV6 for 2017 has risen in price by $1000. New features for the SV6 trim level comprise Head-Up Display, satellite navigation and black 18-inch alloy wheels.
At a new price of $43,990, the Ute SS with manual transmission is $2500 higher than last year's model. With the automatic transmission option the price has risen by the same amount, to $46,190. For 2017 the Ute SS gains the same features as the SV6, but with 19-inch alloys rather than the 18-inch wheels of the V6 model.
Holden has dropped the Ute SS-V, but the SS-V Redline is an on-going model for 2017, with prices rising $1500 for both manual and auto variants. Changes for 2017 include jade black applique for instrument panel/steering wheel, 'V' sill plates, and the following features finished in black: grille, quarter panel vents, mirror shells, DRL bezels and sports bar.
The long-wheelbase Caprice V sedan is now priced at $61,490 – an increase of $500 – offsetting the SS-V Redline steering wheel, bound in perforated leather, and now fitted as standard.
As for the sedans and Sportwagon models, Ute and Caprice are available in three new colours: Spitfire Green, Light My Fire and Son of a Gun Grey. All three are prestige paints, costing $550 extra. Carry-over colours are Heron White, Phantom Black, Nitrate Silver, Red Hot, Regal Peacock Green and Slipstream Blue. Only Heron White and Red Hot are non-metallic.
“Not only have we added some great styling enhancements like black accents and some stunning new colours, we’ve also dialed up the technology offering with head-up display and satellite navigation available on SV6 models,” says Sean Poppitt, Holden's Director of Communications.
