Holden ups pricing across the range
Model-wide increases of $400-$500 applied to all passenger, SUV and commercial models from this monthHolden has upped the recommended retail pricing of every model in its range.
Effective this month, the price hikes of between $400 and $500 affects Holden’s entire 82-variant portfolio (excludes Volt, see below), including all passenger, SUV and commercial vehicles.
According to Holden spokesperson Kate Lonsdale, the increases represent "represent approx a one percent price increase that reflects increased costs."
No current 'driveaway' offer (pricing inclusive of on-road costs) will be affected by the increases, she added.
The Barina Spark, Holden's smallest passenger car offering, now starts from $12,890, while the light-segment Barina hatch begins at $15,390. The sedan variants start from $15,890. The Cruze sedan, hatch and wagon variants are priced from $19,890 for petrol variants, with turbo-diesel models beginning at $26,090.
Medium-segment Malibu variants also rise by a few hundred dollars, with the entry-level CD petrol now priced from $28,890 and the base-grade turbo-diesel Malibu CD starting from $32,890.
Locally produced Commodore and Caprice variants also face a price rise, with the entire range up by at least $500. Entry-spec Commodore Evoke 3.0P variants now begin at $35,490, with 3.6-litre LPG variants retailing from $37,990. Sporty 3.6-litre petrol SV6 models kick off at $36,490, while the first of the V8-powered 'SS' sedan variants is now priced from $42,990. Caprice variants now start at $54,990 for the V6 and $60,490 for the V8.
SUV models have also seen an increase in list price with the newly refreshed Trax the first to face an increase. Now priced from $23,990, the Trax line-up is now offered with 1.8-litre petrol and 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine offerings.
The strong-selling Captiva 5 (medium) and Captiva 7 (large) SUVs are now sold from $26,490 and $30,490 respectively, while the off-road focussed Colorado 7 four-wheel drive now begins at $47,490.
The entire Holden commercial range has now increased by $400 or more, the cheapest offering now its Commodore Ute from $33,490.
The Colorado two-wheel drive range now starts at $28,390, while four-wheel drive variants are now priced from $35,490.
