Honda has announced it has shaved the price of the Odyssey people mover in both levels of trim.
Driveaway pricing (inclusive of on-road costs) is now $37,990 for the base model, or $45,990 for the Odyssey Luxury grade. That is a discount of $2000 for the entry-level Odyssey, Honda claims, based on the absorption of the on-road costs.
"The Odyssey has been a solid Honda success story, maintaining strong sales and earning many loyal fans since its introduction in 1994," Honda Australia Director Stephen Collins was quoted saying in a press release issued today.
"Now is a great time for customers to secure one at a very competitive price."
The price reduction is a retail incentive only, running out the current model ahead of a new Odyssey early next year. Specifications are unchanged and the Odyssey continues to offer multi-function touch screen satellite navigation with live traffic updates, DVD player, reversing camera, 60:40 split fold-down second row seats, Bluetooth phone and audio streaming. At the Luxury level the Odyssey also gains 17 inch alloy wheels and tri-zone climate control. Read the latest news and reviews on your mobile, iPhone or PDA at carsales' mobile site...
