The all-new Hyundai Accent has arrived in Australia, priced between $16,990 and $22,990 for either hatch or sedan body style.
Available in three trim levels – Active, Elite and Premium -- Accent is offered with a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine married to a choice of five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions.
The latest model to capture the brand's 'fluidic sculpture' style motif, Accent was designed at Hyundai's Namyang research and development centre in Korea. Its designers say the car's exterior lines project a "futuristic, dynamic and sleek stance" that makes it "striking and distinctive at first glance".
Accent features the company's signature hexagonal front grille, swept-back headlamps and bonnet character lines in keeping with the in-motion feel seen elsewhere in the Hyundai lineup. The theme continues that already seen on models such as the ix35 SUV and i45 sedan.
Hyundai says Accent's cabin, with its new Y-shaped centre stack, offers generous accommodation for the driver and passengers alike, thanks to its clever interior packaging.
