Hyundai has announced an upgraded i40 for 2013. Both the sedan and the Tourer (wagon) have come in for a minor revamp of the standard features list.
Right across the range the i40 is now offered with standard front and rear parking sensors – eight, all told – with Tourer variants gaining a cargo blind and safety net. Mid-range Elite and flagship Premium models now come with a fully integrated rear-view camera display located in the centre fascia infotainment touch screen. Satellite navigation for these models has been updated and now features NAVTEQ maps, SUNA traffic information and a Point of Interest database. MapCare, which is bundled with NAVTEQ provides up to three years of map updates. A new exterior colour for the range is Phantom Black, which joins the other seven carried-over colours.
