A new high-grade model of Infiniti's QX70 S is introduced to the premium brand's local range, offering cosmetic enhancements to justify its label – QX70 S Design.
Based on the QX70 S Premium the S-Design variant is priced from $85,900 for the petrol V6 version and $87,900 for the turbo-diesel. Both prices are inclusive of on-road costs up until September 30. From October 1, the prices become manufacturer's list prices of $88,900 (petrol) and $90,900 (diesel), not including on-road costs.
In addition to the standard features of the QX70 S Premium, the QX70 S Design rides on 21-inch alloy wheels in a six-spoke design finished in black. Other styling elements comprise black and dark-chrome combination for the grille/air vents/side vents, black mirror shells/roof rails and dark-chrome tailgate garnish/front fog light bezels.
Inside, the QX70 S Design's leather is stitched together with purple thread on the steering wheel rim and shift lever. If the buyer orders the car in 'Graphite' trim, the purple stitch also appears on the seats, doors and centre armrest.
"Together, these detail touches enhance the QX70's already expressive design,"said Infiniti Cars Australia's Managing Director, Jean-Philippe Roux.
"The QX70 is one of the most recognisable crossovers on the market and this new S-Design's added hint of aggression speaks directly to the performance credentials of this vehicle."
Mechanically unchanged from the donor vehicle, which was previously marketed as the Infiniti FX, the QX70 S Design's 3.7-litre petrol V6 (235kW/360Nm) and 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 (175kW/550Nm) drive through a seven-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels.
Standard driver-assist safety features include Forward Collision Warning system, Intelligent Brake Assist system, Around View Monitor, Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) systems.
