Kia Australia will unveil its new Cerato GT variants to the local media this week, but the manufacturer's retail list price and drive-away pricing have already been published on the importer's public domain website.
The Kia Cerato GT will be available in both sedan and hatchback guise, priced at $32,990 excluding on-road costs, or $31,990 drive-away.
Just one option, metallic paint for $520, will be offered to buyers. Most colours are metallic, other than the Clear White alternative.
The other colours in the Kia Cerato GT range are: Snow White Pearl, Silky Silver, Aurora Black, Platinum Graphite, Steel Grey, Runway Red, Gravity Blue, Horizon Blue and Sunset Orange.
Based on the same platform and running gear as the Hyundai i30 N-Line (formerly i30 SR), but priced higher, the Cerato GT is powered by a turbocharged, direct-injected 1.6-litre four-cylinder producing 150kW and 265Nm. Fuel consumption in combined-cycle testing is 6.8L/100km for the Cerato GT.
The only transmission available is a seven-speed dual-clutch unit, unlike its Hyundai counterpart which is also offered with a six-speed manual gearbox.

A multi-link independent rear suspension system is a point of difference from the other models in the Cerato range, and the GT flagship is expected to have been tweaked for ride and handling that's appropriate for Aussie roads.
In addition, the Kia Cerato GT will feature larger front brakes (up from 280mm rotors to 305mm) and 18-inch alloy wheels (versus 17-inch for the Sport Plus variant). Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres, measuring 225/40Z R18, are fitted as standard.
Features fitted as standard, over and above the Sport Plus specification, include LED headlights and tail lights, ventilated sports seats upholstered in leather and power-adjustable eight ways (versus six-way adjustment) with two-position memory for the driver, a body kit, high-gloss external mirrors and a dual exhaust system.
Also, there's a flat-bottom steering wheel bound in perforated leather, alloy sports pedals, eight-speaker premium audio, wireless phone recharging, brushed-silver interior door handles and a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster (in lieu of the 3.5-inch cluster of the Cerato Sport Plus.
