Kia has raised the ceiling for the Sorento SUV model range with a new flagship, the Sorento GT-Line, priced from $58,490.
At that price, the GT-Line sits above the previous range-topping model, the Sorento Platinum, and features the following standard equipment: Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), 19-inch chrome alloy wheels, stainless steel side steps, red brake callipers, red leather trim, shift paddles, LED ('ice cube') fog lights, chrome accents in the cabin and appropriate badging.
The only drivetrain variant offered in the GT-Line level of trim is the 2.2-litre diesel four-cylinder, coupled to the six-speed automatic transmission.
In addition to the new grade, the Sorento for the 2017 model year gains LED daytime running lights for the Si and SLi models, without change to the pricing. At the Platinum level the Sorento scores AEB like the GT-Line for a price rise of $600 to $56,590.
