It's already been spied and teased ahead of its world debut at the Los Angeles motor show tomorrow (9:00am Thursday AEST), and the redesigned CX-9 has now been unofficially revealed two days ahead of Mazda's intended global unveiling.
Pictured here in what appear to be leaked screenshot images published by US website Carscoops.com, the Japanese brand's second-generation large seven-seat SUV presents a slick new Kodo-inspired design inside and out.
As expected, the final Mazda model to feature an all-SKYACTIV platform, body and powertrains takes clear design cues from the smaller CX-3 and CX-5, and features a clean and classy interior dominated by a large colour dash-top display with MZD-Connect infotainment system controlled by a centre console dial.
No technical details appear in the brochure shots, which depict a prototype vehicle, but the MkII CX-9 is expected to debut an all-new turbocharged version of Mazda's 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which should eventually power a born-again MPS performance model family.
Expect the new CX-9 on sale in Australia early next year and watch this space for full officil details -- and our first drive -- later this week.
