Lamborghini's famous Sant' Agata Bolognese plant has announced it has built its 10,000th Lamborghini Urus SUV after just two years of production.
Urus number 10,000 is destined for a Russian customer was painted in a matte black 'Nero Noctis' finish with a full exterior carbon-fibre pack.
Inside, the special Urus comes with a bespoke two-tone black and orange colour scheme that was combined, again, with acres of carbon-fibre.
Unveiled late in 2017 and launched in July 2018, the Urus now accounts for 61 per cent of Lamborghini's total sales, with around 4962 examples of the Lambo SUV delivered in its first full year of production.
Despite a COVID-19 related shutdown, in 2020 the Italian car-maker says it's already sold 3277 units and is on track to end the year with 6000 deliveries.
Lamborghini doubled the size of its Italian plant with an all-new assembly line just for the Urus, and also added a new paint shop entirely dedicated to the SUV.
Now firmly on track to out-sell the Lamborghini Huracan, which is believed to have found around 16,000 customers, it's thought the Urus will overtake its supercar sibling to become the best-selling Lamborghini of all time in late 2021.
