Lamborghini’s long-awaited fourth model line and first EV has been leaked ahead of the prototype’s official debut at Pebble Beach tomorrow, confirming it will look like a squashed Urus and wear the Lanzador nameplate.
Official-looking press images of the seemingly production-ready prototype were shared online overnight via the actu.auto.fr Instagram page and subsequently circulated by CocheSpias, outing the high-riding 2+2-seat grand tourer ahead of schedule.
Obviously we don’t have any official details to divulge just yet, but we the leaked images do show off pretty much every angle of the 2028 Lamborghini Lanzador, including its segmented interior.
As mentioned above, the Lanzador’s side profile looks eerily similar to the rendered Urus coupe we saw several weeks ago, albeit with lower and slinkier roof and window lines.
Meantime, the front-end looks like a concoction of Urus and Revuelto – as if the Lanzador is trying to straddle both the supercar and SUV camps, which it largely is by being a high-riding two-door crossover.
That said, the leaked images also show the high-performance EV will offer a proper and practical 2+2 cabin with enough room in the rear at least for kids, while folding rear seatbacks add further versatility.
Also evident is a bulbous steering wheel and a thin digital instrument cluster, while the front passenger gets their own interface, which will more than likely work in conjunction with the primary infotainment screen.
A glass roof adds an element of airiness to the cabin, while adjustable ambient lighting sets the tone for what should be a benchmark EV driving experience.
The whole package rides on huge-looking concept-style wheels that, in conjunction with the low roof height, emphasise the vehicle’s Urus-like ride height.
Odds are the Lanzador will become the most powerful – if not the torquiest – Lamborghini production vehicle to date when it enters production in 2028 or thereabouts, with rumours of up to 1000kW being on the cards from a tri- or quad-motor powertrain.
