Hyundai is working on an new innovative way of accessing your vehicle, according to new patents discovered by blog freepatentsonline.com.
The plans, submitted to the United States patent office, show a mini-van concept that has conventional front doors but, to gain access to the second- or third row, Hyundai has come up with an inspired solution.
Access to the second row is by a traditional sliding door but if you want full access to the third row Hyundai engineers have a unique solution.
The sliding door closes and, along with the rear panel, the side of the van becomes one giant gullwing door.
The new door design is rumoured to be in development for a new Hyundai mini-van that’s been designed to rival the Volkswagen T6 Transporter California.
Camping is on the rise in South Korea. As the country becomes wealthier and wealthier the lure of the great outdoors and the rise of luxurious ‘glamping’ campsites continue to attract the growing middle class.
