Mild facelift for 2025 GWM-Haval H6 GT
Voice recognition added to the spec sheet for no extra cost along with some minor design touch-upsGWM Australia has updated its popular H6 GT coupe-SUV with a series of cosmetic tweaks and a decent tech upgrade for the 2025 model year, neatly coinciding with the upcoming arrival of the plug-in hybrid flagship.
As of this month, all new H6 GTs sold are fitted with revised tail-light clusters, a new ‘GWM’ logo on the rear in place of the familiar ‘Haval’ typography and matte black tailgate badging.
The tech upgrade meantime extends to the standard fitment of intelligent voice recognition, facilitating hands-free operation of the infotainment system.
Sapphire Blue has also been axed from the colour palette, however none of these changes have had an impact on the H6 GT’s $46,490 drive-away asking price.
The segment-busting plug-in hybrid variant will arrive next quarter priced from $55,990 drive-away, for which customers will get a combined 342kW/762Nm, 180km electric cruising range and a claimed 0-100km/h time 4.9 seconds.
Seeing as the only remaining turbo-petrol trim is the loaded Ultra, it would be reasonable to expect the same of the PHEV, pointing to the standard inclusion of a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, fake suede and leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats with power adjustment, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a head-up display and an eight-speaker sound system to name but a few features.
