Mazda will unveil its next SUV, called Minagi, at the Geneva International Motor Show in March.
Images released today show a mid-sized SUV -- similar in size to the Hyundai ix35 or Volkswagen Tiguan -- sporting many familiar Mazda design cues. Of note, Minagi embraces Mazda's new design theme 'Kodo' – Soul of Motion.
It's believed the compact crossover will wear CX-5 badges when production begins and will be the first SUV to be produced under the leadership of the Japanese firm's newest design director, Ikeo Maeda.
Mazda will fit Minagi with the its latest SKYACTIV engine, transmission and body technologies that sees significant weight reduction combine with the latest safety features.
Mazda will preview Minagi alongside its Shinari concept car in Geneva from March 1.
