August 26 marked 60 years since the original Morris Mini Minor was presented to the public in 1959.
From humble beginnings six decades ago, when Sir Alec Issigonis designed the first Mini ‘Mark I’ in pencil on a tablecloth, MINI has grown to become an indisputable force around the world, immortalised by pop culture and the silver screen.
Though the 1959 original set the template for the modern post-war motor car, there have been dozens of other historic Minis through the years.
