More value and safety for Suzuki Swift

Suzuki’s smallest model is now five-star-safe across the range

Fresh from growing the number of dealers in its national retail network to 95, Suzuki Australia has announced a new entrée to its smallest model, the Swift hatchback.

On sale from August ahead of first deliveries in October, the Swift GL Navigator manual replaces the Swift GL, which is now in run-out priced from $16,990 drive-away.

Drive-away pricing for the GL Navigator manual is yet to be announced, but the list price is $16,990 plus on-road costs and the GL Navigator auto costs $1000 more at $17,990 drive-away so we expect it to match its predecessor’s sub-$17K drive-away price.

Biggest news, however, is that because Navigator-spec Swift models are available with a $1000 safety pack comprising autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control, the entire Swift range will come with a five-star ANCAP safety rating.

Specs are otherwise unchanged, meaning standard GL Navigator equipment includes a 66kW/120Nm 1.2-litre DualJet engine, 16-inch alloy wheels, daytime running lights, privacy glass, reversing camera, satellite-navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

“The introduction of the Swift GL Navigator manual now provides greater assurance of safety and overall satisfaction for Swift buyers,” said Suzuki Australia General Manager – Automobile, Michael Pachota.

“In addition, this also sets a new standard in product specification for Suzuki in Australia. Suzuki customers can now enjoy these features in our full product line-up.”
