New 2024 Kia Carnival pricing revealed

Australia’s favourite people-mover will be up to $5390 more expensive with incoming facelift; hybrid coming later

The facelifted 2024 Kia Carnival due in showrooms in the coming weeks will be up to $5390 more expensive and push above $50,000 at the entry level for the first time.

Kia Australia is still to officially confirm local pricing and specifications for the upgraded version of the nation’s biggest-selling people-mover, however details published on independent pricing guides show that substantial increases will be applied across the petrol and diesel model range.

New grade-specific nameplates have also been confirmed, bringing the Carnival into line with the rest of Kia’s portfolio, however there’s no word yet on pricing for the incoming hybrid versions of the MPV, which are set to arrive later in the year.

See our full price list below, which shows the 2024 Kia Carnival S petrol will now start from $50,150 plus on-road costs (+$2670).

Further up the petrol-engine model line, the Carnival Sport (replacing Si) starts from $56,050, the mid-range Sport+ (SLi) from $62,380, the penultimate GT-Line Lite (Special Edition) from $66,350 and the flagship GT-Line (Platinum) from $70,680.

Diesel versions continue to be priced upstream of the petrol models – available on all trim levels for an extra $2230 – while the hybrids are expected to attract a further premium, though supply is likely to be tight as per the petrol-electric Sorento and Sportage SUVs.

No changes have been made to either the 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine or the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder, both of which are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and drive the front wheels.

Every model grade is in line for an equipment boost beyond the obvious exterior and interior designs, with Kia Connect compatibility, new digital interfaces, enhanced safety systems and other trim-specific additions all expected.

Stay tuned for full equipment details from Kia Australia as they come to hand.
