A final teaser of the 2024 Lamborghini Urus plug-in hybrid super-SUV has been revealed ahead of its public debut on the eve of the Beijing motor show tonight.
The House of the Raging Bull has posted a side profile picture of its first-ever plug-in hybrid SUV, however no further details have yet been released.
It’s widely thought that the PHEV will come equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 combined with a single electric motor and a 26kWh battery to produce a combined output of around 550kW and 950Nm of torque.
It’s also set to blend a circa-80km pure-electric range with a 0-100km/h sprint of less than 4.0 seconds and a 295km/h top speed.
A version of the same powertrain is currently used by the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, which can cover up to 73km on pure-electric power alone and has a claimed fuel consumption of just 1.7L/100km on the European WLTP test cycle.
Lamborghini says its plug-in SUV will still deliver “endless thrills”.
As well as the new powertrain, the Lamborghini Urus is expected to introduce a raft of minor exterior tweaks that include revised headlights and new bumper.
Inside, expect a freshened-up dash and larger, quicker infotainment system, plus other new switchgear and trim options.
Stay tuned as full details will arrive shortly on what will be the marque’s second plug-in hybrid after the wild 747kW Lamborghini Revuelto supercar.
