New 467kW Range Rover Sport SV Black lands

The 2025 Range Rover Sport SV and an SV Black have arrived, signalling that the fastest-ever Range Rover model is no longer just a limited-edition member of the line-up.

Following on from the Range Rover SV Edition One and Edition Two, the two new Range Rover Sport SVs remain powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre mild-hybrid V8 that pumps out a mighty 467kW and 750Nm of torque.

That means the Range Rover Sport SV can launch from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds, with a limited top speed of 266km/h.

However, if you want to be the fastest, the new Sport SV Black's carbon-fibre parts cut another 0.2sec off the 0-100km/h and is able to go on to 290km/h.

Beneath the skin, the regular SV and the new Sport SV Black (which features all-black detailing), bag Land Rover's 6D Dynamic suspension tech that cuts pitch and drive associated with acceleration and braking, while minimising roll.

Whichever you choose, both SV variants come with huge 23-inch alloy wheels. As you might expect given the name, the Range Rover Sport SV Black is painted in Narvik Black, with the badges and brake calipers, as well as SV badges all painted in the same Narvik Gloss Black.

Within, the new Black combines Ebony Windsor leather with yet more black detailing, that includes SV Black illuminated treadplates and Gloss Grand Black finishes.

In Australia the Range Rover Sport SV has been priced from $335,395 (plus on-roads) with first deliveries of the Sport SV Black tipped to take place in early 2026.
