The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupe 'Aero Edition 63' is winging its way into AMG Performance Centres across Australia.
Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed a priced of $188,600 for the AMG C 63 S Coupe Aero Edition, which is about $17,000 more than the regular $171,400 C 63 S Coupe, but includes a number of unique exterior body kit extras.
Just 63 of the limited-edition German road rockets will be offered, each fitted with a unique front lip spoiler and rear diffuser, extended side air-vents on the rear apron and an AMG Performance rear spoiler.
No changes to the AMG C 63 S Coupe's twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 have been made, which means the bahnstorming two-door coupe still bangs out 375kW/700Nm.
That said, the German company reckons performance has been improved slightly because all the extra body bits are not purely cosmetic but increase grip levels and downforce following wind-tunnel testing.
Upgraded wheels and brakes should also deliver an uptick in performance.
Ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels (19-inch front, 20-inch) finished in matt black are added, along with 402mm ceramic compound ventilated and perforated brake discs up front with six-piston fixed calipers, and 360mm rear rotors with single-piston floating calipers, all finished in gold.
There are several carbon-fibre elements scattered about as well, within the front and rear aprons, side sills, spoiler and wing mirrors.
Inside the coupe's cabin, the $17,000 price premium buys lots of carbon-fibre and aluminium accenting, along with lots of yellow highlights.
A flat-bottom AMG Performance steering wheel with carbon bits is part of the deal, along with AMG Performance front seats with a unique grey and black Nappa leather upholstery (finished with yellow stripes) exclusive to the Aero Edition 63.
The 2020 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupe 'Aero Edition 63' can be had in Polar White or Iridium Silver exterior paint and features a numbered badge between 1 and 63.
The standard Mercedes-AMG C 63 is currently available in sedan, wagon and coupe body styles.
However, the raucous V8-powered C 63 could be the last of its kind, with the next-generation AMG C 63 expected to adopt four-cylinder hybrid power from 2022.
