The new-generation Audi A6 allroad quattro is now on sale in Australia, priced from $109,500 plus on-road costs.
Representing the only wagon version of the new Audi A6 in Australia, the large crossover wagon brings light off-road capability thanks to adaptive air suspension that increases ride height up to 184mm.
Audi Australia says the new A6 allroad gets $15,000 worth of additional equipment over its predecessor.
Those extras include a 2.5-tonne towing capacity, Matrix LED headlights, dynamic LED tail-lights, 20-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels and an electric tailgate with gesture control.
Also standard are a host of exterior aluminium styling elements, illuminated door sill trims and door LEDs that project the word ‘allroad’.
The new Audi A6 allroad is offered with just one ‘45 TDI’ powertrain offering, comprising a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel paired to an eight-speed tiptronic automatic.
Outputs of 183kW/600Nm are sent to all four corners via Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system, launching the high-riding A6 wagon to 100km/h in 6.5 seconds.
Inside the cabin, the allroad gets Audi’s latest MMI Navigation system with dual touch-screens (8.6- and 10.1-inch) with Audi connect plus, as well as a 12.3-inch high-resolution instrument display known as Audi virtual cockpit.
Wireless phone charging, Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay are included standard, as are four USB outlets.
Elsewhere, standard features include a three-spoke steering wheel with shift paddles, Valcona leather sports seats with heating up front and allroad embossing, stainless steel pedals, tri-zone climate control and a frameless auto-dimming interior mirror.
Safety equipment and driver assist technology includes rear cross traffic alert with side assist, a 360-degree camera, intersection assist, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance assist, an active bonnet and head-up display.
A Premium Plus package (from $8900) can be optioned, adding a different wheel design, electric steering column assist, panoramic sunroof, quad-zone climate control, a 3D Bang & Olufsen sound system and LED colour interior lighting.
Audi is offering its new A6 allroad quattro with a choice of two service plans – three-year ($2170) or five-year ($3300).
Meanwhile, Audi Australia has introduced a new entry-level version of the newly launched Audi A6 sedan, the 40 TFSI, powered by a 140kW/320Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder and priced from $85,500 plus ORCs.
Joining the higher-output (180kW) 45 TFSI and six-cylinder 250kW 55 TFSI and 331kW S6 variants, the Audi A6 40 TFSI sedan comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights, heated front seats, a virtual cockpit and more.
