New entry grade for Mercedes-Benz EQA, EQB 250+

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQA and Mercedes-Benz EQB all-electric SUV range has been bolstered by the arrival of a new City Edition that lowers the price of admission for both models by up to $4000.

The new 2025 Mercedes EQA 250+ City Edition sees the EQA range now kick off from $80,700 plus on-road costs (ORCs) – $4000 less than the previous entry-model EQA 250+.

The EQB 250+ City Edition, meanwhile, costs $85,400 plus ORCs – $3700 less than the existing EQB 250+.

Included in both cars’ pricing is a three-year Service Plan Package and 12 months of free top-ups at Chargefox public charging stations.

Despite being supposedly an entry-level model, the most affordable EQA and EQB come with 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, an AMG Line body kit and metallic paint as standard.

Inside, there’s a sliding panoramic roof, keyless entry/start, a hands-free tailgate and heated memory sport seats wrapped in Artico synthetic leather.

Real Nappa leather, meanwhile, is used to wrap the steering wheel, while a 10.25-inch widescreen infotainment system works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and is combined with a premium sound system and a wireless smartphone charger.

Driver-assist tech includes a 360-degree camera, an auto park function, adaptive cruise, blind-spot assist and lane-keep assist.

Whichever version you choose, the EQA 250+ City Edition and EQB 250+ City Edition come powered by a single e-motor that drives the front wheels and produces 140kW and 385Nm.

Both are fed current from a 70.5-kilowatt-hour battery that sees the EQA cover up to 578km (NEDC) before plugging in, while the larger EQB runs out of juice a little earlier at 564km.
