The second-generation Hyundai Venue has been unveiled for the Indian market, with the all-new compact SUV sporting a bold new exterior and hi-tech interior. But it won’t be coming to Australia anytime soon.

The Finer Details
The second-generation Hyundai Venue has debuted in India – where it’s available to order now – sporting the Korean brand’s latest design language, with quad-beam LED headlights and “twin horn” daytime running lights (DRLs), plus redesigned wheel arches and a darkened grille.
Along with a whole new look, it’s also grown for the Indian market, now sitting taller (at 1665mm) and wider (1800mm), while an overall length of 3995mm continues unchanged where it’s slightly shorter than Korean variants that stretch to 4040mm.
The wheelbase has also grown to 2520mm, now aligning with our current Korean-built versions of the SUV.
Standard features include 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, roof rails, signature C-pillar garnish, two-tone leather-appointed seats and a curved panoramic display consisting of dual 12.3-inch digital displays.
A terrazzo-textured crash pad also features, while a “coffee table” centre console and ambient interior lighting are said to bring a new level of ambience.
Second row passengers get two-stage reclining seats, along with rear window shades and air vents.
In India, the new Venue will come with three powertrain options including a 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. Manual, automatic and dual-clutch transmission options are also available.
Meanwhile, fresh colour options have been added to the palette, including Mystic sapphire and Hazel blue.
The Road Ahead
As we’ve previously reported, the current Venue SUV – which first landed here in 2019 and is sourced from Korea – isn’t due for replacement for a few more years, so don’t expect to see a new-gen machine here anytime soon.
