The new 992-series Porsche 911 GT3 has been officially teased, with the German sports car marque releasing a single image captioned "the youngest member of the Porsche 911 GT family".
The darkened pic of the rear half of the Porsche 911 GT3 reveals the wild swan-neck or top-mounted rear spoiler the next track-focused Porsche will feature that's been lifted straight from motorsport and ensures maximum downforce with minimal drag.
We've already seen a lightly disguised version of the new 992 Porsche 911 GT3 testing at Germany's Nurburgring last April that revealed the hard-core Porsche will feature numerous aerodynamic and sheetmetal changes of a standard Carrera coupe.

These include two large air-intakes atop its bonnet, massive brakes that lurk behind all-new centre-lock wheels, a new dual exhaust and a super-sized rear diffuser.
That rear spoiler, meanwhile, is expected to be offered with manual adjustment to dial up or reduce downforce depending on what track you're driving.
We already know the 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 will be powered by a revised version of the last car's naturally-aspirated 4.0-litre flat six-cylinder engine that should pump out around 400kW.

Like before, expect the updated 4.0-litre to rev to 9000rpm and be combined with a six-speed manual for the purists and a seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, rather than the standard car's eight-speed auto.
Later on, an even faster Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be introduced that will shed weight over the standard GT3, feature more power and even more focused suspension but only come with the PDK transmission.
Stay tuned because full details are coming with its official reveal on February 16.
