Next Honda Accord design leaked

Patent images reveal incoming new Honda Accord will carry a conservative, but premium, look

We’ve spied it testing overseas, but the 11th-generation 2023 Honda Accord mid-size sedan has now been outed in even more detail ahead of its release next year.

As we’ve previously reported, Honda’s new flagship sedan is set to take on more conservative styling compared to the current swoopy fastback-styled model.

The images you see here were included in patent filings in Brazil and show that the Accord is in line for a wholesale redesign, with slimmer headlight clusters, a lower and more rectangular front bumper, new grille and a full-width rear light bar.

The silhouette is rather Audi-esque from the rear-end, but more ZB Holden Commodore up front.

There’s also less chrome exterior trim and no more funky-shaped C-pillar for the new Accord, which will come with a similar single body crease that runs along either side.

We’ve not yet seen inside the next-gen Accord, but expect a substantial tech, safety and interior design overhaul with a larger tablet-style touch-screen and digital instrumentation in line with the latest Honda Civic.

Current Honda Accord

Honda Australia recently confirmed to carsales that the incoming new Accord would be offered here, where it sells in low numbers but plays an important role as the brand’s flagship sedan.

Petrol and hybrid powertrains will continue, and are anticipated to carry over for the Aussie market.
