Subaru has confirmed it will reveal the all-new replacement for the Subaru Impreza at the upcoming Los Angeles motor show on November 17.
The Japanese car-maker has released a single shadowy teaser of the sixth instalment of the popular Subaru Impreza, with no further information accompanying the image.
The picture suggests the new Impreza might ride higher than the current hatch, perhaps taking on more of a crossover or SUV look.
Other than that, the lines of the hatch indicate that it will look similar to the current model, although the bonnet suggests smoother frontal styling.
Subaru USA says the latest Impreza is “all-new”, but it’s expected to be based on an evolution of the current car’s Subaru Global Platform (SGP).
Expect more advanced driver assistance aids and the car-maker’s latest EyeSight semi-autonomous safety system.
All-wheel drive will again be standard, while the Impreza is expected to feature revised versions of its flat-four-cylinder engines, possibly with fuel-saving electrification.
Inside, the entire range is anticipated to migrate to a fully digital instrument panel and the car-maker’s next-generation infotainment system.
Expect more teasers in the build-up to the Impreza’s debut on November 17.
