Opel announces local dealer network
17 retail outlets will handle sales and service throughout the country for new German start-upGM's German subsidiary, Opel, will hit the ground running when it launches in September.
The importer, formerly known as a supplier to Holden, has appointed 17 dealers in all states and territories of Australia other than NT. Many of those dealers have long-standing experience selling other brands and it is that commitment to the industry that has helped them across the line, according to Bill Mott, Managing Director of Opel Australia.
“We are extremely proud of our Opel dealer network. Our partners include some of the nation’s most successful and well regarded dealers,” Mr Mott said, as quoted in a press release.
“Their significant investment in unique, stand-alone Opel facilities is a testament to the potential they ascribe to the brand in Australia.”
According to Opel, each new premises selling the brand will stand alone. No Opel dealership will be an annex of a multi-franchise facility. In many cases the Opel facility has been built specifically for the brand.
