Out now: motoring iPad App 66

In this FREE issue of the motoring.com.au iPad App we compare four popular mid-size SUVs

Australians' love of SUVs shows no signs of slowing down, with a medium sized soft-roader being the choice of many. The likes of the Toyota RAV4, Hyundai ix35Series II, Volkswagen Tiguan and Mazda CX-5 are among the group that have replaced the old family wagon values.

So, to sort the chaff from the wheat, we tested the aforementioned SUVs on a variety of roads including inner-city, urban, highway and gravel. As near as possible the models selected were comparable, and were diesel-powered, automatic, all-wheel drive variants. So which one handled all the judging categories the best? Download the motoring App to have all your questions answered.

Next up, meet a famous driver named Seb. No, not F1's Vettel and it's not rally champ Sebastien Loeb, it's the other Seb. Sebastien Ogier, the reigning World Rally Champion grew up a stone's throw away from a famous Monte Carlo rally stage and the seed was planted early on. By age eight, Seb was already into cross-karting which eventually led him to rallying. We caught up with Mr. Ogier for a bit of one-on-one time to find out what drives him to be the best.

There's sizzle and colour in the form of a photo gallery from the stages of The Geneva motor show and we have also driven, for your research purposes, some of the most recent vehicle releases.

Our scribe on the BMW 2 Series launch was excited by the noise of the engine starting, so wait until you read his thoughts on actually driving the new coupe! Citroen hopes to change your mind about people movers with its new Grand C4 Picasso, which earns kudos from our reviewer for being 'quiet, comfortable and frugal'. Last, but far from least, we got to drive the Lotus Exige S Roadster. Even though rain pelted down, the Lotus still delivered an adrenalin-charged rush.

All this and more – packed into a digital magazine providing great driving experiences without actually being the behind the wheel ... and it's FREE.

The motoring.com.au iPad App issue 66 is available for download now from Newsstand in the iTunes store.
