Kia has revealed details of the upgrades it has made to its popular Rondo MPV model – known in some markets as the Kia Carens – ahead of the car's official unveil at this week's Paris motor show.
The upgrades aim to enhance the visual appeal of the Rondo as well as improve its functionality both inside and out.
Cosmetically, the Rondo gets revised front and rear bumpers with a new fog lamp design, a new 'tiger nose' front grille, a new paint colour called 'Mysterious Blue' and three new wheel designs for the Rondo's 16-inch, 17-inch and 18 inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Rondo's interior design has been revised and features new seat upholstery, including either a knit cloth pattern or a diamond-wove leather pattern design, along with new metallic and gloss black accents and even a carbon-effect dashboard trim.
The Rondo will also score a raft of infotainment upgrades including a 7.0- or 8.0-inch infotainment touch screen with navigation, rear-view parking camera and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
Kia has also created an 'Eco Pack' for the Rondo, which will feature an 85kW, 1.7-litre diesel engine with idle-stop technology, low-rolling-resistance Michelin tyres and revised ratios for the gearbox.
There is no word yet as to when the updated Rondo will reach Australian shores, nor how much it will cost.
