Peugeot will tap into its illustrious back catalogue at next month's Paris motor show with a new coupe concept.
Teasing a single picture of the unnamed car it plans to reveal, the single darkened image appears to suggest the small two-door concept will draw direct inspiration from the handsome 504 Coupe that was produced between 1969 and 1983.
So far, no details have been given on what will power the Peugeot coupe concept, but it's likely to come with the car maker's new pure-electric powertrain technology.
As well as being battery-powered, the 21st-century 504 coupe could also debut the firm's autonomous driving aids.
Inside, the Paris concept is almost certain to feature Peugeot's i-Cockpit interior design that combines a small steering wheel with a full digital instrument panel and a raised centre console.
If green-lit for production, the reborn 504 coupe would replace the sporty RCZ that was dropped in Australia back in 2015.
Peugeot is set to continue the teases of its coupe ahead of its reveal on October 2.
Sharing the stand at the Paris show will be a wagon version of the car maker's recently launched 508 sedan.
