Polestar arranges Australia’s first EV-only drive-in cinema event

Swedish brand announces a series of drive-in screenings for Sydney EV owners; free tickets for Polestar owners

Polestar Australia and Mov’in Car are inviting electric vehicle owners to a series of EV-only drive-in cinema events in Sydney over May 4-7.

The rooftop of the Entertainment Quarter car park will be transformed into a pop-up movie theatre for owners of all EVs – not just Polestars – with power to be provided by battery generators in keeping with the EV experience.

Each night will see a different film projected onto the big screen, comprising Operation Fortune: Ruse De Guerre, Avatar 2: The Way of Water, The Super Mario Bros Movie and Dirty Dancing, in that order.

“Polestar is all about redefining norms and reimagining the world around us in a more sustainable way,” said Polestar Australia marketing boss Jonathon Williams.

“Electrifying the drive-in was on the wish list, and thanks to Mov’in Car, it has become a reality.”

Gates for the screenings open at 6:00pm, with movies starting at 7.30pm.

Polestar owners can score their tickets for free, while owners of other EVs can purchase their tickets from the Mov’in Car website.
