Porsche has begun rolling out its latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM) 6.0 infotainment system.
Headline improvements are stronger links to mobile devices, a new user interface and wireless Android Auto for the first time.
Other updates include natural speak voice control and a more intelligent navigation system that can better help with recharging spots en route for the electric Porsche Taycan, prioritising fast-charge outlets to ensure owners spend less time topping up.
New apps like integrated Spotify have also been introduced that no longer need your smartphone. Instead, owners simply use their Porsche ID and use the app as a media source.
First introduced in the Taycan, the PCM 6.0 is now being rolled out on the Porsche 911, Cayenne and Panamera in the next few weeks.
Porsche has yet to confirm when the PCM 6.0 will be available to existing owners as part of an over-the-air update.
Previous updates have seen the introduction of wired Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and integrated Apple Music, plus real-time traffic information for the navigation.
Updates have also been released for the Porsche Connect app, allowing owners to now display their calendar on their infotainment screen and to even remotely park their car using the app.
A new Porsche Track Precision feature allows drivers to record, analyse and display driving data from their own hot laps of up to 300 race circuits around the globe.
Initially, just the Porsche 911 and 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster come with the telemetry that can also be used to link up with GoPro cameras.
Commenting on the rollout of PCM 6.0, Porsche software boss Martin Bayer said: "PCM 6.0 is certainly a big step we’re taking again. The look and feel is new; it’s tidier, it's more intuitive."
