Porsche has released a new event within its Sport Driving School program.
Called Porsche Pole Position, it will offer customers an opportunity to run their cars around the Albert Park Grand Prix circuit in the lead up to the Australian Grand Prix.
The unique customer experience event, to be held on Wednesday, March 16 – the day before the official AGP event commences – will be limited in numbers and available only to those with a road registered Porsche… and with substantial track and/or driving school experience.
“Lapping the Albert Park circuit is usually reserved for a privileged few who compete in a motor racing championship, so we’re thrilled to extend this opportunity as part of the Porsche Sport Driving School to our customers,” said Tony Andreevski, Porsche Cars Australia Marketing Director.
“Porsche has a strong motor racing heritage, which is evident by its extensive local and international motor racing programmes. It’s great we can add a motor racing flavour to the Porsche Sport Driving School experience around the Albert Park circuit in a truly unique, adrenaline-fuelled experience for our customers.”
In addition to the new on-track experience, the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia will be showcased over the course of the Grand Prix weekend. Porsche will also host the ‘Porsche Pavilion’ and ‘Porsche High Flier Grand Prix Experience’ during the event.
