Porsche's box-office gold
Some of Porsche's greatest moments captured on film can now be downloaded from the InternetVisitors to Porsche's Australian website (www.porsche.com.au) can now play video footage featuring Porsches in action.
Accessed through the 'Multimedia' button on the home page, the 'Porsche Web-Cinema' facility allows the user to select a number of different video files, such as the Transsyberia Rallye -- the highlight of which is probably seeing a Cayenne S floating downstream after the driver (helmsman?) overcommitted while wading across the rapids (pictured).
Other files include the 2007 American Le Mans Series (ALMS) with Aussie Ryan Briscoe competing and various marketing presentations for Porsche's product range (Cayman pictured).
All films on the Australian site feature English narration, but other films with 'international' narration can be downloaded from Porsche's German site (www.porsche.de), including in-car footage from a Porsche 936 on its qualifying lap at Le Mans in 1977.
The films can be viewed in large or small screen format and are well worth a look.
