Jaguar has teased its upcoming Design Vision Concept ahead of the official reveal on December 2 in Miami, previewing a striking new four-door GT that does without a traditional rear window.
Instead, like the recent Polestar 3 and Polestar 4, the 2024 Jaguar Design Vision Concept will project a view of the road behind on a digital rear-view mirror.
Other takeaways from the teaser point to wide rear arches and a unique combination of sharp lines and smooth curves.
What’s unclear is where the rear lamps are, although it’s thought the light units might be hidden by the horizontal slats running across the tail, the same slats teased previously with the new Leaper logo and branding material – which received widespread ridicule from social media and commentators.
The new image was posted with the caption “copy nothing” and is believed to reflect the new GT’s radical design that will preview a real four-door battery-electric GT that will be the first of three new cars to reboot the near-90-year-old car brand.
Details are still thin on the ground, but Jaguar has let slip the production car should produce more than 430kW and have a range in excess of 700km, but be priced north of £100,000 ($A195,000) as the firm repositions itself as more of a rival to both Porsche and luxury specialists like Bentley.
