Land Rover has marked the twilight of the original Range Rover Evoque's successful six-year model life by revealing the Landmark Special Edition, which is now available to order in Australia.
Due for delivery Down Under by October, just before the all-new Velar arrives here as Range Rover's fourth model, the Evoque Landmark is based on the mid-range Evoque Td4 180 SE ($67,551 plus on-road costs).
The special-edition version of Range Rover's smallest and best-selling model, which has notched up more than 600,000 since 2011 and is Australia's top-selling mid-size luxury SUV bar the Land Rover Discovery Sport so far this year, is priced at $74,351 plus ORCs.
For the extra $6800, extra standard features include the ‘Dynamic’ body kit, grey exterior highlights, a contrasting panoramic roof, 19-inch gloss dark grey alloy wheels, brushed satin centre console trim and perforated Ebony leather seats with contrasting ‘Light Lunar’ stitching.
Three exterior paint colours are available – a unique Moraine Blue, plus Yulong White and Corris Grey – but there are no mechaniocal changes from the Td4 180's 132kW/430Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine, which is matched with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Options will include Jaguar Land Rover's 10-inch InControl Pro touch-screen infotainment system and the Connect Pro package, including a 4G WiFi hotspot and compatibility with apps like Spotify.
There's also the Remote Premium app for smartphones and smart watches, allowing owners to remotely check the fuel level, lock status and location of their vehicle, and even to pre-heat or cool the cabin.
Touch Pro Services ups the ante further by offering real-time traffic mapping, satellite and 'street level' views and a 'Live Apps' sidebar with weather, news headlines and a flight tracker, which requires a SIM/data plan.
