Recall wrap: Benz brake hose defect in A and B-Class
And ASV is recalling the RAM 2500 for indicator defectMercedes-Benz has issued a recall notice for A-Class and B-Class vehicles sold in Australia between February 2012 and June 2013.
Around 4000 vehicles are affected by the recall, which pertains to a brake booster hose that may break. In that event, pedal pressure will increase due to lost power assistance, making it harder to stop the car in an emergency.
The importer is contacting owners by mail to arrange an inspection of the car. Faulty brake hoses will be replaced at no cost to the owner.
America Special Vehicles (ASV) is recalling the RAM 2500 for a defect in the vehicle's indicators. Should a globe burn out, the indicator will continue to operate at the normal speed, leaving the driver unaware that the indicators are not operating at the front or rear of the car. Just over 400 vehicles are affected.
The importer will contact owners once parts are available to rectify the defect.
