All-new mid-size French SUV to do battle with Mazda CX-5 and Toyota RAV4Pricing and specification details have been announced for the Renault Kadjar medium SUV, which arrives in Australia for the first time in November.
The facelifted French SUV will be available in three grades locally, priced from $29,990 plus on-road costs. The three grades are the Life ($29,990), Zen ($32,990) and Intens ($37,990).
The starting figure positions the new Renault among established mid-size SUV competitors including the Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, Toyota RAV4 and Kia Sportage, among others.
The entire Renault Kadjar range utilises a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 117kW of power and 260Nm of torque, matched as standard with an EDC automatic transmission. Running on 95-octane premium unleaded, it returns a claimed fuel consumption average of 6.3L/100km.
The facelifted 2019 Renault Kadjar places a new emphasis on quality, according to the French car-maker. Inside resides a 7.0-inch touch-screen featuring Renault’s R-LINK 2 software with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, redesigned seats with double-density foam, air-vents for rear-seat passengers and a pair of USB ports.
The entry model receives low-speed autonomous emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, cruise control with speed limiter, hill-start assist and emergency brake assist (EBA).
Stepping into the Zen adds side parking sensors, Lane Departure warning (LDW), Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and hands-free keycard with automatic locking and welcome function, leatherette upholstery and 18-inch wheels.
The flagship Intens adds easy park assist, a BOSE stereo, black leather-trimmed upholstery, leather-clad steering wheel, heated and power adjustable front seats and 19-inch wheels.

The Kadjar will be supported by a five-year/unlimited-km warranty and service intervals of 30,000km or 12 month (whichever comes first).
