SEMA 2015: Toyota gives Mirai wings

Back to the Future-inspired Fuel Cell car created For SEMA

Toyota USA has released a pic of a Mirai fuel cell car concept for the SEMA custom car show in Las Vegas.

Said to be inspired by the DeLorean time machine from the movie, the Mirai concept was created in partnership with Californian-based tuner MV Designz.

For the show the small hydrogen fuel cell-powered sedan gets gullwing doors, 19-inch rims, air suspension, and lots of LED lighting.

In case passengers hadn’t worked out the Mirai concept’s connection with the famous eighties film, the SEMA concept also gains a Flux capacitor embedded within the centre console. It’s not known whether it’s fully functional, nor if the modified Mirai is capable of reaching the 88mph required for time travel.
